Why KMK chose Maxima

KMK started with racing and helping fellow racers in a home garage. That same practical approach goes into these kits: quality fluids, the service essentials together, and a clear explanation of what you’re buying.

Pro Plus+ 10W-40: protection for demanding use

Maxima’s full-synthetic, ester-fortified formula is designed to maintain viscosity and a protective oil film under operating heat and mechanical stress. Its additives help control oxidation, wear and deposits—useful qualities when an engine works hard.

Maxima lists API SN PLUS and JASO MA2 performance requirements and describes Pro Plus+ for racing and everyday four-stroke use. Those ratings describe the oil’s performance; your exact engine still needs the correct specified viscosity.

Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90 and 75W-140: protection under load

These full-synthetic, ester-based gear oils use extreme-pressure and anti-wear additives to protect loaded gear surfaces. Maxima describes a shear-stable formula that maintains viscosity, resists oxidation and helps protect against corrosion. The product line exceeds API GL-5 requirements.

Why two grades? 75W-140 is the higher hot-viscosity grade; 75W-90 is the lower one. Each belongs in the component that calls for it. A thicker oil is not automatically a better choice. These gear oils are intended for suitable gearcases and differentials, and are not for transmissions with wet clutches.

What makes this a worthwhile choice?

The value is in the formulation, documented specifications and having the right service supplies together. Oil brand alone doesn’t decide suitability: compare the required viscosity and performance specification first, then the formulation. Regular changes, correct fill levels and keeping dirt out remain essential.

Fitment

For compatible G2 Can-Am Renegade and Outlander 850/1000 applications using the oil grades listed above. This kit uses KMK’s selected 10W-40 engine-oil specification. Check your exact model’s lubricant requirements before ordering; newer-generation Outlander models are not included in this G2 listing.

Follow your vehicle’s service procedures and specified fill levels. Bottled quantities supplied are not instructions to pour every bottle into a single compartment.
